After more than 15 years in data analytics, I’ve taken on a new challenge—writing my first book. What started as a personal guide for my team on player behavior analytics in the gambling industry turned into something much bigger than I initially anticipated.
When I set out to create this guide, my main goal was to highlight key aspects of player behavior analysis, helping others understand what to focus on, what is currently relevant, and, most importantly, which trends will shape the future. I believe that the evolving landscape of player behavior offers many insights, and as someone who has spent over a decade in this field, I wanted to share that knowledge.
This book is not just a summary of trends, but a deep dive into understanding player interactions, preferences, and how these can be leveraged for strategic decisions. My experience in data analytics has shown me how to spot patterns early, and this is what I aimed to convey in the book—what trends to expect in the near future and how to prepare for them.
Of course, like any first attempt, it may not be perfect. There are always things you realize could be better after the fact. But that’s part of the process! Writing this book has been an educational experience for me, and I’m already thinking about what improvements I can make for a second edition.
